BSP SouthPool designated again as Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO)
BSP SouthPool has been designated as Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO) from The Energy Agency in the Slovenian energy market for the period of further 4 years firstly on the 13th of December 2019.
In accordance with Article 4 of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 2015/1222 of 24th July 2015 establishing a Guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management ("CACM Regulation"), it is necessary to ensure that each EU member state, physically connected to the trading area of other EU member state, has a designated one or more NEMO to operate the European single day-ahead and intraday market coupling.
In accordance with the above, The Energy Agency in the Slovenian energy market published a tender for designation a NEMO on 24th September 2019. BSP SouthPool has been again designated as NEMO to operate European single day-ahead and intraday market coupling for the period of further 4 years.
